Part of Macedonian cultural heritage through centuries were the old crafts that were part of everyday life. There are many crafts, including pottery, casting, goldsmiths, filigree, embroidery, making of musical instruments, weaving, carving, saddle-making, cobblers, etc. They were passed on from generation to generation, from father to son. Old Macedonian craftsmen were skillful masters and they new to perfection the technology and techniques of production. Apart from this, the masters, depending on their talent and sense for aesthetics, used the Macedonian traditional code which gave originality to  every object made.

In contrast with the past, when there were schools for learning crafts, today there are few masters that nourish artistic crafts. In order to preserve this unique value in Macedonia and to maintain the feeling for making artistic handicrafts, we founded the gallery Art Macedonian Crafts. Its aim is to present the most valuable works by Macedonian craftsmen.

The metal objects made in our gallery are originally made by artists inspired by archaeological finds in Macedonian, and then, cast in a traditional way in sand and metal moulds. At the end, they are finished by hand and coating with pating. As a result of this process, it is impossible to produce two identical objects. The hand-made embroideries are, in fact, framed parts of old traditional costumes, some of them dating from the last century. These motives in the embroideries are taken from various parts of Macedonia, rich in handicrafts with long tradition. Art Macedonian Crafts gallery will nourish the traditional artistic crafts and its products will be unique and of highest quality. We have certificates that guarantee their value.

Crucifix
Christ’s crucifixtion is a symbol of suffering in the name of salvation for humankind and righteous believers. It is a guarantee for rising glory for all those that believe in God’s power (according to apostle Paul’s writings).
